Morgan's digital debt services, marking a significant milestone in institutional adoption of blockchain debt securities. Through this strategic partnership, State Street is now able to provide clients with custody services for debt securities issued, settled, and managed based on blockchain technology.
The first transaction was a $100 million commercial paper deal involving State Street Bank's investment management division, demonstrating the platform's capability to support precise timing of settlement, including T+0 instant settlement options. This service is currently available only in the United States.
